STEVEN JACOB co-founder, Steve Midgett, first started working with Mokume Gane in 1974, and has spent decades developing innovative techniques for the process. He has taught and lectured all over the world on his work and methods, and published two books on the subject. Steve pioneered techniques for working with many modern precious metals and with his son Jacob, continues to push the boundaries of what is possible for Mokume Gane, Damascus Steel, and other patterned metals.
